VOLUNTEERING

As Mental Health in Nepal lacks professional human resources, we have to rely on foreign expatriates many times. Even if we find some one, we are unable to meet their expectations. Thus, we always encourage volunteer ship service from the professionals. Till date we have received foreign volunteers’ expertise in various mental health fields especially Psychiatrist Nurse and Occupational Therapist from UMN, VSO and JICA. We also receive volunteers who come on individual interest. Our objective is to work on a principle of therapeutic community in order to help rehabilitate mentally ill patients, hence we always look for professional guidelines and feedback. During the time of the stay of the volunteer we expect him/her to conduct various in-house short term training for our staff members as well.
