1. Agreement with the Directorate of Jail Administration, HMG, and Maryknoll Nepal in 1994 to stop the system of keeping mentally ill patients without any criminal offences in jails of Kathmandu Valley. 

2. Release of all the mentally ill women from the Central Female Jail, Kathmandu and the mentally ill male patients from Dhulikhel Jail, Kavre. 

3. Treatment and then rehabilitation of the 48 mentally ill women within their own families and, similarly the male patients from Dhulikhel Jail.

4. Since 1994, no mental patients have been wrongfully imprisoned.
